Another attempt at the trinity challenge

Back story

   As this may surprise most of you I recently decided to get my head back in the game for the trinity challenge. I gained inspiration after taking apart my G15 robot kit I got for christmas a while back and I decided to ask one of my friends for asisstance on this project and they have thus donated a EmCore motherboard which I am going to hack to make it a 8GB of memory and 16 gigabyte of storage computer.


  I am going to be honest with you. If this idea finally comes together it will be the most advanced trinity robot in the history of trinity. It is going to use a xbox 360 kinect sensor for telemetry, proximity sensing, and object recognition which will be needed to win the competition and I am pretty sure in the history of trinity that has never happened with sensing until now. It is going to use 12 volt lipos to power the motherboard with a 12 volt step up and down regulator, voltage detector, and some kind of buzzer or relay to let me know or to turn off the robot if it is being powered in correctly. The robot is also using the G15 meccanoid chassis to drive it and it has a ton of torque. Way more than the little duck motors. Also I am hoping to use a co2 tank to blow gas to blow out the candles. Last but not least I am going to enslave an arduino with ros to control the basic IO.

Make sure you go this year to see it in person. I like to go on Saturday afternoon and just examine the robots.

I am hoping this year to participate and more than just watch but as time twindles by that seems unlikely. Idk if my family would be up for it to be honest but I will do my best. Thanks!!!
